My upcoming memoir Black Power, Black Lawyer, mentions Baba Herman’s early work as an Assistant Principal in the midst of Brooklyn’s Ocean Hill-Brownsville controversy, and being named as Minister of Education at the founding convention of the Republic of New Afrika. Herman worked arduously with the Jericho Movement’s March and Rally for New Afrikan Political Prisoners and Prisoners of War. A truly unsung hero.
